The Beethoven Foundation of Argentina, a non-profitable entity, was created in the year 2000, by the renowned pianist Pía Sebastiani, to help young artists of scarce resources, to become proficient under important professors, and develop their artistic talents.

In an era, in which educational excellence is measured either by technical, humanistic or artistic means, but at the same time, economic difficulties increase instead of decreasing, many young people do not have access to a personalized musical education tending towards optimization, and every year there is a painful increase in the amount of students and young artists that cannot access a first class education or total dedication, to allow for their relevant growth, with important results for the future.

The support of the Beethoven Conservatory, whose prestige, history, and continuity, and which has had the privilege of having within its faculty, professors such as: J. Fanelli, G. Gilardi, A. Ginastera, J. Gómez Crespo, R. González, A. Martucci, C. y O. Pessina, B. de la Vega, amongst others, has permitted the creation and development of a Foundation, which groups friends, students, former students, professors, former professors, free lance professors, and any person who shares the desire to favor young musical talents.

 

The organization of competitions for young musicians, obtain funds to award scholarships to students and/or young artists, who are unable to face the expenses of musical studies, related travel expenses, etc.

The organization of concerts, conferences, and exhibitions, both in the country and abroad, brochure printing, publicity, programs, etc. Obtain preferential or free postage.

The designation of the receivers of SCHOLARSHIP benefits, does not necessarily have to be by competition (pubic or not), but may be made through the Executive Committee’s voting system.

- Perform or finance the promotion of courses, cycles, concerts, exams and other similar activities, in the City of Buenos Aires, or in the interior of the country.

- Establish or manage scholarships for musical studies, for worthy students in the country, or abroad.

- Conduct activities tending to discover and stimulate promissory talents within the country, for further development.

- Propose and sponsor related activities such as research, congresses, events, conferences, tours, exhibitions, etc., that contribute to the proposed objectives, including the preparation of graphic material and other printed matter.

- Establish and maintain contact with other entities, whose actions may contribute to achieving the proposed objectives.

Therefore: the Foundation may establish awards, scholarships, subsidies and honorable mentions, destined to:
Organize concerts, festivals, conferences, seminars, courses and exhibitions, at the Beethoven Conservatory headquarters, or elsewhere, both within the country, as well as abroad.
Promote and support tours of musical educators and/or interpreters, lecturers, composers, etc., at national and international level.
Collaborate with the maintenance of books, scores and musical instruments.
Produce all kinds of publications, recordings, transmissions, etc., related to music teaching and its interpretation.
